1NTR0DUC71ON .... Me,Myself, and I

Alright ladies and gentlemen and those of unspecified genders, please put your hands together for one of the world’s most egoistic, charismatic, funny, prideful, and maybe clinically insane individuals, ME... lol

My name is Rafeh Waheed, a lot of my friends go by Raphael, because you know, why not be called a ninja turtle. Thankfully our beloved professor has listed some questions for us to answer so people could have the unfortunate event of getting to know me.

My major is Bio-Chemical Sciences. There is nothing cool about it but once I get my hands on it, the coolest thing about the degree is that someone like me is holding it.
There was no class last semester I took that interested me
The biggest accomplishment last semester was that I passed a boring class
I went overseas to Pakistan and like all Pakistani weddings, it’s always over dramatic, overpriced, and *drum-roll* overrated.
well so, Im a 90s kid, so Im a huge fan of marvel + DC comics, and books like Harry potter, Eragon, Percy Jackson, Goosebumps. Kane Chronicles, and the list continues. I am a huge nerd as well and love playing Yugioh, Pokemon, and occasionally online games.
favorite music type- rock, rap. techno, dub-step, and classic remixes.
My career goals are to become a good son, the worse enemy of my enemies: P, a good brother, the best father, the best husband. BE A BADA**, and be a very competent medical physician in the future.
I have falcon...... just kidding I have a conure that rivals my character, her name is Louloua. She thinks she’s a falcon though.

I don’t really have any favorite places; my favorite place is home with my tribe.
I LOVE MEAT. That is something I don’t compromise on. but a best alternative is chicken flavored ramen noodles because being broke sucks in collage.
My hobbies are as follows - memes, -reading, -laughing at political scandals, -criticizing governments, -making jokes, playing games online. playing the viola (out of practice) and finally I kickbox at one of Moores MMA gyms.

There is a lot about me that I don’t tell people. Only because people would get jealous of how Awesome I am. JK. In all honesty I am very similar to you. I am the main character of my life and I am someone who just like you is trying to find his way in this chaos. A life that is always harsh, cruel and relentless, I am someone just like you fighting to keep a smile on my face and staying strong in front of my loved ones. I know what it feels like to have doubts and struggles, but I tell myself as I tell you, to stay strong and fight on because I promise you will get there. Wherever it is.

  1. Hey Raphael!

That is so neat that that you are a Bio-Chemical Science major! I have always thought that science was a fascinating subject. Unfortunately for me I am not very good at it, so I tend to stay away from courses that require science ha. I am also a huge nerd like you, I played Yugioh back when I was younger but now a days I tend to console game a lot. Hope this semester goes well for you!

  2. Hey Raphael,

I love the fact that you have a pet falcon, I have never seen someone owning a pet like that before - quite exotic! I am Pakistani myself, and although I have not gone overseas to visit in quiet a while, I love Pakistani weddings and attending them both overseas and in America, they're tons of fun! Just by the way you described yourself and your life makes you sound like an interesting person, and I am sure you would make a great physician some day :)

  3. Hi Raphael! I would struggle hard to do bio-chemical science because I am not interested enough, so good on you for powering through. Honestly, this is one of the funniest introductions I've read so far for this class, and I'm totally here for it. Can't wait to see what you do next, I'll have to check out your stories when I get the chance.

  4. Hi Raphael!

That was quite the introduction, seems like you know yourself fairly well and aren't afraid to admit it haha! That is quite the bird, I haven't met many people with a bird as a pet. I can relate to the love of meat and the substitution of ramen due to being broke in college. Your last paragraph and quote was quite deep and very interesting to read. Most people don't delve into that kind of self-reflection in an introduction, but I appreciate that you did. I'll look forward to hearing more of your thoughts on that, and hope you will include those themes in your stories!

  5. I definitely approve of Ninja Turtle nicknames, Rapheal! There's actually fun little Ninja animated gif Tech Tip you should try; just a Ninja, not a Ninja Turtle... but still: Ninja-Power! And falcon-power too of course! Your little Garuda, ha ha. Even if he's only a Garuda on the inside, not the outside.
And overrated or not, I am jealous that you got to go to Pakistan for a wedding! I've been to Indian weddings and Pakistani weddings in the U.S. only, and even then, oh, I loved it: food! music! and all the henna! Now I'm imagining what story you could tell about Rama and Sita's wedding as the jaded partygoer who has seen it ALL before, ha ha. With plenty of mocking memes.
Anyway, I hope you will have fun with the class with lots of memes to come! Howl on, O Mighty Canine! :-)

  6. Hi Raphael! Nice to meet you. I think your sense of humor really shines through in your introduction lmao. It's actually really cool that you have a unique pet like a conure, my dad used to raise birds and had a cool variety of them. Lowkey less annoying than dogs. What kind of video games do you play? I play a few but it's hard to balance them and school rip.

  7. Hi Raphael,
I really enjoy how you incorporate numbers into your words. It makes them seem like puzzles, yet they are still easily read. I greatly appreciate your appreciation for meat! I definitely could never be a vegetarian! There is just something about meat that cannot be replaced in my diet. I try to get protein out of other foods like nuts and beans, but I always come crawling back to chicken or beef! Good luck in your future endeavors!

  8. Hello Rafeh, so nice to meet you!! Can I just say... I loved your introduction! It showed so much personality, great job haha!! TBH, I think being the worse enemy of your enemies is kinda a mood and I fully support you for it. Also, kickboxing sounds so cool, I've always wanted to try it, but I guess I've just never taken the initiative to actually do it. Your closing paragraph got to me, I think we sometimes get so deep in the chaos, everything around us doesn't make sense anymore. I guess similar to you, my family and friends really keep me grounded.

  9. Hi Rapheal! I loooove Harry Potter and Percy Jackson! Those books mean a lot to me and I am glad to know someone else in the course likes them, too! Your conure is adorable! I do not know the first thing about taking care of birds, so I applaud you for being knowledgeable enough to care for one. Anyways, hope you're enjoying the course!

  10. Hi Rafeh!
You sound very confident lol. I love your selection in books; Eragon is definitely my favorite of all time. Those are some really solid career goals...I too strive to be a badass, but definitely not a physician, gonna have to leave that one up to you. Hope you have a good semester and enjoy this course!

  11. Hey Raphael! It's interesting that you're studying chemical biosciences. I have a friend that studies that, and I've never heard of it before then. That's cool that you're a 90's kid. I grew up on most of that stuff as well.

  12. Hey Rapheal! You seem like a funny guy and I'm looking forward to reading more of your stories this semester! I am also a huge DC and Marvel fan and loved reading all of the book series that you listed above! I play online games too but I've never done any kickboxing. That sounds like its intense but a lot of fun and now I'm intrigued. Best of luck this semester!

  13. Hi Raphael!

I love your energy! Reading the beginning of your introduction made me LOL. Oh wow, biochemistry? That sounds so hard, but I'm sure you will be able to do something super cool with it. There's nothing wrong with being a nerd, that's for sure. I think it's cool that you play Pokemon; my girlfriend is obsessed with it too! Your hobbies sound like a lot of fun! I am excited to read your stories this semester. Good luck with your studies!!

  14. Hello Raphael,
Have you ever watched Naruto? Reading your introduction made me think that you sound an awful lot like him. I think you two would get along. Louloua is a very pretty bird; if she thinks she's a falcon, though, then maybe she knows that already. Better luck with school this semester homie.

  15. Hey Raphael,
Reading this introduction was a ride and honestly I'm kind of sad I'm reading it now and not sooner into the school year. Your bird is also very cute but it has that kind of maniacal look in its eye that I picture you having so I can see the similarity that you describe.

  16. Hey Raphael!

I have never genuinely laughed reading one of these introductions, but you have outdone yourself. I wish I could make jokes over my blog post but they would sadly just fail. Louloua is so cute, I love her coloring! I really like how you put everyone is basically just the main character in their life's story because I can name a few people I know who would live by this motto!!

  17. Raphael, you have quite the personality! I wish I had your level of confidence. You seem like a person who is hard to impress or surprise... BUT, that can be a good thing because you probably have high expectations for everything, and we all want to set our goals high. I'm sure with your major and career aspiration, you'll have no problem getting there and achieving it. I can tell you're a very down to earth person, and I definitely need more friends with your personality in my life!

  18. Raphael, your uniqueness really comes out through your writing! Are you sure you want to go into STEM? You might have a good career option as a professional blogger! Your bird is beautiful. I've always strayed away from buying a bird because I worry that they'll keep me up all night, but they are so cool to watch. Does your bird ever make you feel any qualms about your love of meat? Thank you for your comforting final words– I wish you well this year.

  19. Raphael,

I really like the introductions of people who are confident in themselves. I know you wrote that you've had your doubts, but reading through your introduction, you come across as a pretty happy-go-lucky sort of person. I love the picture of your spirit animal. Is it a wolf? I really like birds as pets- I've never had a pet bird, but I feel like a bird would be friendly and silly. I'd also daydream a little more about what it would be like to fly around on wings? That would be awesome!
Congratulations on almost being done with your undergrad! Good luck on everything going forwards.

  20. Raphael! I would say that this was one of the more interesting introductions that I have read in this class so far. The way that you are typing up the characteristics about yourself makes me feel like you are introducing yourself to me in-person. It's quite a personable and well-detailed introduction that I find myself already knowing you like an old friend. Also: you have a whole FALCON? By far that is one of the coolest pets that I've ever seen, and I've seen some oddities during my times here! I look forward to reading the stories that you will write for this class!

  21. Hi Raphael! Your Introduction truly shows a lot of your character! You have great career and family goals! I see that you want to be a very competent medical physician. Do you have any medical schools that you are looking in particular to attend in a few years? Is OU Medical School on your radar? Anyway, it was great meeting you! Good luck with any medical school in the future!

  22. Hi Raphael! Your introduction was really funny! It's cool that your a biochemical science major! I was a biochem major in the past and I was considering to changing to biochemical sciences before settling on psychology! I would honestly love to go to a Pakistani weddings. They look like so much fun! I have some Persian friends too and it looks like they party just as hard, so I'm jealous. I'm a big reader too and if you like fantasy, Brent Weeks' Lightbringer series is really good! Good luck with the class!

  23. Hi How Are Ya Raphael?

I have to say I appreciate you being yourself in your blog. After reading so many intros, I felt like your intro embodied your personality. Nice to meet you. Anyway, I’m a biochemistry major and there really isn’t anything special about it either. Right now, I hate everything about my major and I wished I could’ve been a health and exercise major instead; my life would’ve been easier and better off if I chose an easier major. It’s great to see that people are still interested in those games. I also enjoy playing Pokémon. I bought Pokermon Eevee for the switch but haven’t had the time to play it. What’s your favorite Pokémon? My favorite regular type of Pokémon has to be Poliwhirl while my favorite rare type is Deoxys. Anyways, is was great getting to know you!

  24. Hi Raphael!
I always enjoy reading about other people in the class, but your into definitely stood out as very original. I relate to the struggle of boring classes, they seem like the hardest ones to pass. I'm a Chemical Biosciences major so I'm pretty sure we have to take pretty similar boring/ tiring classes. Good luck and I'm excited to see what you have in store for your blog!

  25. Hey Raphael,

This is by far the most detailed introduction I've seen in this class! It feels like I got a good grasp of your personality just by reading this! I'm just curious but are you pre-med because most of the people I know with that major are. I also played a lot of Pokemon and Yugioh growing up although I don't play it nearly as much as I used to now. It was very nice getting to read about you and good luck with your classes!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hello Raphael! First things first, I can tell from reading you are quite the character. I’m also in the sciences here at OU so by default we’re competition! I too am 90’s child, so I grew up watching and doing pretty much the same as you listed out. Best of luck going forward in the future! It goes without saying that your career path requires A LOT of work!

  27. Hi Raphael!
Such a fun intro. I love how you included your spirit animal haha. Honestly I really enjoyed your intro because you seemed genuinely you. I have always struggled with writing with personality, so seeing this intro motivates me to be more open in my writing. Overall, great job and I hope you enjoy the rest of this unconventional semester!

  28. Hey Rapheal! This is the most interesting introduction I have read all year! I feel like I can get a good glimpse of your personality...you're very funny! That's an awesome pet bird as well. I noticed we have some common interests--I, too, am a nerd for some of the things you mentioned like Harry Potter. Also nice falcon! I can't wait to read your stories.

  29. Hello Raphael! Your intro was really funny. Haha I am sorry you hated last semester so much. This semester for me is the first I have pretty much enjoyed all my classes to the best of my ability lol. I LOVE HARRY POTTER and marvel too! Your bird is beautiful!! And she can be anything she wants to!! Memes are one of the best hobbies!! It is great you are able to laugh at politics these days it just has me with my head in my hands (Don’t worry I washed them first) Cough cough Coronavirus jk..well it was nice to read about you, and I hope you are staying at your favorite place, home, safe during this crazy time.

  30. Raphael,
What made you choose bio-chemical sciences as your major? I imagine you have to take some challenging chem classes for that major so I don't think I would excel. What kind of medicine are you interested in going into? Your introduction seems to genuinely share your personality which is a great skill to be able to write honestly. I have never been a huge Harry Potter fan, but I love marvel! Well, I hope this semester is going good for you and hopefully you'll have a favorite class!

  31. Hi Raphael,
It was really cool to hear that you went to Pakistan. I would love to hear more about your trip and if you have been there more than once. I really enjoyed your last paragraph, statement or thought. It is always nice to hear a positive message sprinkled in to these introduction blogs. Good luck the rest of the semester!

  32. Raphael,
First off, you are so spunky and independent I love it. I think it is so funny how you described yourself as unfortunate to meet and then talked about the boring class hahahha. I too love Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, I actually just watched both during the quarantine.. great options. Good luck achieving your goal of being a bad ass.
